Bookings and admissions are subject to the following:
It is the responsibility of each and every camper to read and observe our Campsite Rules. These are posted on our website, in our reception, and in various locations throughout the Campsite, and are also available in printed format.
It is essential that you check availability with us for your preferred booking dates, particularly for peak periods and in extreme wet weather conditions.
We will accept bookings throughout the season. However, during peak times booking is essential and must be accompanied by the full deposit and administration fee. At all other times booking is optional and may be with or without a deposit.
Peak times are generally all the periods given within the High and Mid Seasons (see our Tariff).
Booking details can be taken via our online booking request form, over the counter, by post, over the telephone or by email. Deposits can be paid by cash, cheque, postal order, debit/credit card (not via internet).
Please take note that during peak times all short notice bookings and enquiries needing our attention in less than 48 hrs cannot be handled online. These can only be dealt with over the telephone.
Please make sure that you register and pay on arrival, or the next morning at the latest should you arrive after the reception is closed. There are NO exceptions to this rule.
During peak times, departure time is 11.00 am, and arrival times are from 12 midday to 8.00pm (except by prior arrangement with the owners/managers). This applies in particular to serviced pitches; for non-serviced pitches times can be more flexible. Please be aware, when planning your journey to us, that serviced pitches may well not be vacant before 12 noon and we have no significant holding areas for you.
In the event of early departure, refunds are not given without good reason (extreme circumstances).
Deposits are not refundable and cannot be transferred to another booking.
Anyone wanting to stay fewer nights than originally booked must notify us at least 7 days before arrival date.
We are not able to accommodate more than two vehicles on any one pitch in serviced fields and we have no additional car parking space. Motor Bikes and Commercial Vehicles are accepted only at the discretion of the owners.
Regretfully, we cannot guarantee to allot specific pitch numbers to a booking.
We cannot guarantee that group bookings for serviced pitches will be adjacent to one another, particularly for short stays during peak times.
During High Season, those not booking a serviced pitch will not be permitted to stay in the serviced fields. Therefore, mixed groups of serviced and non serviced bookings will definitely NOT be together.
We will accept group bookings under certain conditions (please contact us for details). Single sex groups and parties of young adults are taken only at the discretion of the owners. Regretfully we cannot accept groups of unaccompanied teenagers under the age of 18.
Generators not permitted on site at any time.
Dogs are accepted on site but must be kept under strict control or on a lead at all times. Do not allow your dog to wander onto other people’s pitches and please ensure that you clean up after them (dog waste bins are provided).
Please note that this campsite may not be suitable for those of you, particularly young teenagers, who look for ready-made entertainment on site. In our experience, boredom in young people often results in general troublemaking and vandalism.
The Owners always reserve the right of admission.
Special conditions for groups:
Group leaders wishing to book four or more pitches must provide all details of that group in writing, preferably by email. Please note that where subsequent multiple changes have to be made because of poor or incomplete details an extra administration charge may be incurred, so make sure you contact your friends prior to booking a pitch for them.
The details for each pitch must include:
Title, initial and surname,
Unit type and size,
Arrival and departure dates
Number of people, and ages of children at time of holiday.
Deposits will not be taken or bookings confirmed for any pitch that does not have all the relevant information.
If you are the Group Leader and are receiving confirmations on behalf of everyone in your group you must ensure that each member receives their own confirmation in good time so allowing them to check their own booking details and advise us of any changes.
On arrival day, any discrepancies with any part of the booking must be dealt with through the Group Leader, and not our reception staff. We will not enter into any disagreements over, or accept responsibility for, errors in bookings made and confirmed by your Group Leader.
Please note: Each individual member of a group MUST register and pay the balance ON ARRIVAL at the site. Late arrivals must register and pay between 8.30am and 11.00 am the following day, NO EXCEPTIONS AND NO EXCUSES.
Deposits will be deducted from each individual booking on arrival, regardless of who originally paid them. It is the responsibility of the Group Leader to recoup any monies owed to them by members of their group.
All deposits are non refundable. However, it is important that we are advised in good time if you are not coming so that we know not to hold your pitch for you. Please let us know as soon as you can and do not rely on another member of your group to let us know when they arrive.
IMPORTANT FOR LARGE GROUPS: Both the number and the size of the groups wishing to book with us are on the increase, putting pressure on our pitching strategy. Even under normal conditions, we do not guarantee that groups can be together on electric hook up pitches, although we can generally allocate adjacent pitches for smaller groups. As from 2016, please note that larger groups of over four units are likely to be split into two separate groups. In addition, we allocate pitches according to unit type and length of stay, and therefore we cannot guarantee that particular families can be adjacent to one another within any group.
Please be aware that Fire Safety Regulations stipulate that there should be a 6 metre gap between each unit – please observe this when pitching, both within your own group and in respect of other campers not in your group. This particularly applies to our unmarked non-electric hook up field (Top Field).
Remember that large groups of any kind can sometimes be intimidating to other people. By this, we do not mean that you are behaving in a threatening manner in any way; merely just the noise and activity of a large group of people, often with children, dogs and various vehicles, congregating for the purpose of enjoying themselves can impinge on other people’s space. Please consider and respect the enjoyment of other campers, particularly your immediate neighbours, when on site at all times. The site is here for the enjoyment of everyone.
